Uncommon Gardeners
Plant a legacy, together.
The Uncommon Gardeners are a team of volunteers who care for the garden beds and plantings in The Commons. Together, we weed, plant, rake, mulch and water these areas while building community and forging friendships.
Whether you're an experienced gardener or a beginner, we welcome volunteers of all levels. Please bring your gardening gloves, water, and any small tools you prefer to use.
We are excited to announce our volunteering schedule for the upcoming season in Excelsior's gardens!
DATES & TIMES
All sessions will begin at 9:30 AM. We have opportunities available on Saturdays as well as every second Wednesday. There are plenty of chances to get involved!
Our Wednesday sessions will be smaller groups, where you'll work closely with Jeremy, Excelsior’s very own Horticulturist, focusing on more specific gardening tasks.
Volunteer dates are as follow:
Saturdays: September 12, and 26, October 10 and 24
Wednesdays with Jeremy: September 2, 16 and 30.

A reminder text will be sent a few days before each session with additional details, including the meeting location and any important updates.
