Support for Community for the Commons builds a robust:
Environment: A healthy park in our community promotes a healthy community. Whether you are sitting at the beach, playing on the playground, attending a concert or community event, launching a boat, playing a game of softball, or taking a walk, visitors to the Commons are getting into nature.
Culture & Economy: The Excelsior Commons is a regional destination. Hosting events including the Summer Concert Series, 4th of July activities, the Klondike Dog Sled Race and countless softball and baseball games bring a wide range of visitors to Excelsior Commons Park. These events bring economic benefits to both our City and local businesses, and is a chance to show off our entrance to the beautiful Lake Minnetonka region.
Facilities: Since 2018, Community for the Commons board members and volunteers have made plans, worked with the City of Excelsior and community members, secured fundraising and executed a master plan. These efforts have transformation of the pavilion and created the all-new plaza. Check out our website for periodic announcements on future projects.
Community: The Excelsior Commons offers a special place to bring residents together as a community. Creating a mutual sense of ownership and pride, the park hosts everything from weddings and reunions to family days and first dates. With something for everyone, the Commons offers a sense of community for residents and visitors alike.
